The originals had frame cracking issues, since resolved.

The very first production run had the frame issues. It was resolved quickly. It's believed less than 500 guns made it to the public from that initial run.

KR damn near had a heart attack when I informed him of the issue AFTER he had bought his Black model which is an early run, 1988 production model if I remember correctly.

My Stainless is a 1989.

When I said "original" I meant the original production that was run from produced from 1988 to 1996. Colt reintroduced it in it's current design in 2009.
