Looking to buy my first handgun for home defense and to keep in my truck. I will prob get my cc permit soon too. I've done some research and have decided a 9mm is best for what I'm looking for due to price of gun/ammo. I'm in the $500-$600 range. Help me decide between these:
1. Glock 19
2. S&W MP compact
3. Springfield Armory XD 3"
4. Sig sp2022

Any others I'm missing? Sig p320? Beretta? The sig p226 is a little too $$$. Thanks for help

I'd go with a G19, given those choices. You will be happy with that firearm.

Tell KingRanch to eat a dick when he stops by.

S&W or Springfield would be my choice. No experience with the sig 2022, but I know Sigs are fine weapons

I know I'm in the minority here, but I have a Beretta PX4Storm 9mm and love it.

If your serious about CC down the line, I would seriously consider a Springfield XDS or S&W Shield.

My first was a G19. I liked it so much that I bought a second one.

If you are wanting a gun to conceal, I would get a single stack like the M&P shield. I have the M&P9c and I like it, but I would rather a single stack for better concealment. If you want it just to keep in the home or truck, I wouldn't even get the compact. Just get the full size M&P. Just my .02

I have a 4" XD-9. I like it alot, and it has been very reliable. I honestly don't remember a hang up.

Also check out the Beretta PX4. Very happy with mine. After the Beretta I'd pick the G19.

I have a M&P9c with extended grip and a lot of other accessories ( extra mags. two holsters) I'm going to sell . If you have an interest let me know. That being said the Beretta Px4 is a fine weapon. I had a full size .40 ,sold it sorry I did.
