I've never seen an episode of the show, but The Fugitive made a really good movie.
Everything mentioned so far has been good.

The movies are still pretty good but not that true to the show.
I agree, they are good shows. I just wish if Hollywood decide to remake a tv show into a movie, they at least make an effort to stay true to the tv show.
MI didn't bother me that it wasn't exactly like the tv show (probably because I never watched the old tv show). But 21 Jump Street bothered me a little bit because they totally changed the whole aspect of the TV show (and I can still remember watch the tv show as a kid). They could've called it anything else and it would've probably been as successful of of a movie.

Both X Files movies sucked. The Simpsons movie was just ok. I'm a huge fan of both of those shows and really wanted to like the movies too.
Beavis and Butthead Do America is another one worth a mention.

Don't mean to hijack, but I always wondered why they didn't make a 6 Million Dollar Man movie? Of course it would be a higher dollar value in today's world. But I always thought an easy TV show to turn movie was 6MSM! It would be perfect in today's cinamatic atmosphere!

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is my favorite movie based on a TV show. But I also like the Fugitive and Wayne's World.

Wrath of Khan should win. It's based off of one episode.

IMO:
Wrath of Khan is GOAT movie based off of a single TV episode.
Star Trek movie franchise GOAT based off a TV series.

The Lineup (1958)
A very late noir (based on a now forgotten, Dragnet-ish TV series) directed by Don Siegel (Invasion Of The Body Snatchers, Dirty Harry) and featuring a great performance by Eli Wallach as a vicious drug dealer. Also has a memorable climax on the San Francisco Interstate (then under construction).

I had no idea The Fugitive was a show. Mind. Blown.

I've never seen an episode of the show, but The Fugitive

I've heard that In the Heat of the Night was very good as a tv show and movie.
Like MASH, the TV show In The Heat of the Night was based on the movie, I believe.
