Bites that produce severe envenomation can be rapidly fatal. Case reports of rapidly fatal outcomes, in as little as 30 minutes, have been recorded for this species.

My best advice is enjoy it while you can.

So Jelly! I had always wanted that or the boa...I love there Juv colors as well as the adults. I just never got around to getting them when I was younger and now the wife is 100% no snakes so I gave it up. And the diamond jungles are bad arse too. I had a diamondxjungle for a little bit (Juv so it didnt have the nice coloring) and also had several carpet pythons. I wish I had a digital camera back then...I would love to look at those pics. I will have to try to hit that show next year!

Captive raised or wild?

You own a rattler and python?

It's people like you whose kids end up getting killed by pet snakes. I hope you are smart enough to realize that and dispose of these animals if you ever start breeding.

No such thing. Something is wrong with someone that wants a snake for a pet. Seriously. It doesn't make you a tough guy.

What good can come from owning a stupid snake? But, now I see the sleeves of tats and the attention ho thing makes sense...typical

Congratulations, you're officially a moron. I've been fascinated by snakes my entire life. My father and my uncle were both snake lovers and used to take us snake hunting (i.e., catching) on a regular basis. I've been catching snakes since around age 6. In my youth, within minutes of getting off the school bus (unlike you, I rode the long one), you'd find me in the woods or walking the banks of the canal. I even used to keep a journal documenting the type of snakes I caught, the measurements, the location, etc. I dreamed of becoming a herpetologist, but in the end dentistry won out because it offered more stability for my family. I practiced dentistry for 19 years, retired, then got my tattoos a couple years later. Of course, my tattoos have no meaning and the only reason I got my sleeves was to try to impress people just like you, so you must be right on that account. Unfortunately, it appears that you don't like my tattoos, so I'm going to stop typing, sit in the corner, and cry. Thanks for that.

I understand where you're coming from, but there's no "your kind of people" here. Snake owners are as diverse as dog owners. Would you lump a Shih Tzu-owning old lady in with michael Vick and his Pit-fighting brethren? I detest irresponsible snake owners - especially those who buy pythons that they know will grow to ve very large, when they are not equipped to handle the result. My tree python has an average size of around 4.5 feet, generally maxing out around 6. The Jungle Jag Carpet python I'm hoping to buy maxes out around 7 feet, but is a slender snake. I have no desire to house (or release) a 26 ft. Retic. If I ever grow tired of my Green, there is a lucrative market for them.
ETA - otherwise, I can killitwithfire.

No! I'm still convinced I can catch a big billfish with it.

On an overnight tuna trip, I caught a snake-looking fish that was around 4 feet long and just a few inches high and an inch or two wide - one of those real DEEP sea looking things. I was trying to shake it off my line and beating it against the boat, and the deckhand said, "Let me help you." He starts hooking it on better and I'm thinking, "WTF is he doing." Then he told me to toss it back out. Sure enough, somethink hit it like a bass going for a worm. Missed the hookup, but I have no idea what eats that type of thing.

Some closed minded replies in hear People keep different things. I have kept and bread tons of snakes...and i have no tats...Nor did I release any into the wild. Its the people NOT like us that are the problem in FL....and a few hurricanes. Same goes for some if the invasive fish...storms and people NOT like us.

Anyway nice green tree Moto!
