I do know that he treats his band incredibly. They have 2 techs available at all times to handle their gear, even if they're doing session stuff not involved with Dylan. Also doesn't allow them to have endorsements, but pays about $350,000 a year.

It's pretty easy to google. Dylan's problem is not so much using other peoples words or melodies or images (in his painting), it's that he refuses to give credit and publishes it all under his own copyright. It's dicey at best..

Easy to google? Like I said you're a jackass. Your statement is the dumbest thing I've read in this board. And that's saying something. Bob Dylan is a plagiarist and steals others melodies... Holy frick that is fricking retarded.

Refuses to give credit to who?

She's so unhip, when you say Dylan, she thinks you're talking about Dylan Thomas... whoever that was.

I'm sorry this has you so upset. If you can't understand that the guy has been dogged by this criticism for years, and refuse to educate yourself about it, then I can't help you. It's not a concept exclusive to Dylan. Led Zeppelin has been sued multiple times for the exact same reason. Borrowing is an inherent part of art. Giving credit is part of the business.

You can't even provide evidence for your accusations.

You tell us to google it. And I find myself unimpressed by your troll.

He's won a Pulitzer Prize. You're a douche.

What the frick does Led Zeppelin have to do with Dylan? "Zeppelin were really un-proffesional, so Dylan must have been, too, right??" Something like that?

Here are just a couple from the first page of google. You calling me names doesn't change any of these accusations. You're welcome for doing your homework for you, since you seem to care so much. I'm a huge Dylan fan. Seems like if you were such a fan, you would at least be familiar with this stuff.

One of those links is from a site called "Before It's News" with such stimulating headlines on the side-bar as "Absolute Proof Foreign Troops In America For War On Patriots", "Robin Williams Speaks From Beyond The Grave, Listen For Yourself (Video)", "US General Issues Dire Warning! America In Grave Danger! Shopping Malls, Transportation System And Electrical Grid Being Targetted!!!" and "Cigar Shaped UFO's - Best Evidence In The World" and cites such evidence as "Just type “Bob Dylan plagiarism” into your friendly search engine, and a plethora of questionable circumstances pop up, enrobing the singer almost as completely as his years of reflexive media fawning have".

Is that your blog?

I saw Dylan at Reunion Arena in Dallas around '02 or '03 and it was truly one of the best "big" concerts i'd ever seen. Then I saw him at Jazz Fest about five years later and it was one of the worst "big" concerts i'd ever seen.

Shooting the messenger. Are people really not aware that the guy has used questionable business practices when it comes to sourcing his material? This is not a revelation here. Or a big deal.

Every artist with a catalog as massive, profound and over-analyzed as Dylan's will have some "issues" come up over the course of 50 or so years. The real question is how many of them are legitimate and is it something that really defines the specific artist's career. Citing 3 or 4 questionable-at-best gripes from a crack-pot blog site that talks about UFO's doesn't do much for me. Neither does smugly telling me to "google it"

to troll

I for one support this thread

He has like 5 people on the hook and we arent to page 3

I'm glad Dylan was a junkie. I feel like he started writing the better stuff when he was on the smack anyway. I feel like the early protest crap was when he was just smoking weed.

it takes some H in your veins to write some good rock and roll
