Whoever it is they are going to have one hell of a mess to clean up.

What are Walkers successes? He is so far from his 250k jobs promise that it is scary. His inability to hire good staff is frightening.
Plus there being a 50/50 shot he's unemployed in 3 months.

I have made this point repeatedly for months now. Burke is by far a tougher opponent than Tom Barrett ever was. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel continues (see yesterday's edition linked below) to pound Walker on those dubious charges and the RCP average as of today is Walker 47.0, Burke 46.7.
I'm actually very pro-Walker, but I'm also a realist who isn't looking past November 4th.

Unless the republicans put in a true conservative, they won't win. Not only that.. every election period that passes makes it harder and harder. Republicans are losing voters on a national election.
To the ones saying Christians did not vote for Romney due to him being mormon, not so true. They did not vote for Romney because he stood a form of the ACA in his state. He is and was a larger Gov guy.
IF the republicans stand a chance...they had better put up a conservative. Paul will not attract the much needed block. Christie will not.

This is why I couldn't vote for Romney and it had nothing to do with his Mormon faith. I didn't view him as a true conservative. But with hindsight, he was still head and shoulders better than Obama. Since La. carried Romney, my vote would have been irrelevant anyway.

Rand Paul is my favorite Republican, but right now, it's Mitt Romney's to lose if he decides to run again.
I'm not huge fan of Romney, but he can run the one of the biggest "I told you so" campaigns ever. He's an establishment type without the last name "Bush."
As much as I really like Rand Paul, I don't see how he gets out of the GOP primary. The strong hawks of the party and even the Christian conservative types who don't like Rand for his moderate leanings on the Drug War won't let it happen.
I actually think Rand has a stronger chance at beating Hillary than he does getting out of the GOP primary. He's the only guy who works hard at expanding the conservative movement to the black and Hispanic communities.

I know plenty of Waukesha republicans that would never support Walker on a national stage.
Walker would get killed in a national forum and would get housed by any dem. his 250k job promise would get hammered like "no new taxes."
Love to see his whole Marquette thing played out again for the people.
I'm on the opposite side politically, but I can admire a well run campaign and gov. He has neither. Fiscal problems at the WEDC for example. Or attacking Trek, a company his own WEDC pimped as an example of why to do biz in the state.
Dems/libs could work with and respect TT and Dreyfuss. Walker is a divider.
What is funny is that those who deride Obama and others as career pols love Walker. A guy who has basically been in gov since leaving Marquette.

Do you think the Republicans can win without increasing its share of the Black, Hispanic, Asian and Jewish vote?

Honestly, the three people who scare me the most as a Dem would never make it out of the Republican primary- Rubio (if immigration reform had gone through he could have destabalized the Obama coalition and chipped off some Hispanic voters, as it is now, the GOP has essentially cosigned itself to demographic irrelevance by 2024 or so when states like Texas and Arizona become Blue states) ; Christie (actually really conservative on Social issues-- he's pro-life for example but will never get the nuts to believe that); Rand Paul (assuming he is able to get away with his current dance of being socially libertarian when pitching to young voters and socially conservative when pitching evangelicals-- if he gets pinned down and the primaries would do that he'll have to sacrifice one of the two constituencies).

I don't know but I hope it's Rand Paul.

I just find the whole idea depressing. He lost. He needs to move on. I'd take Jeb Bush or Paul Ryan over Mitt Romney.
My preference by the way is Perry/Martinez.

I would vote for Romney. I could also see myself voting for Perry.
