Gustin is a DE at LSU. When is the last time that we have had a 6'4 LB? Gustin is a 3-4 base LB, 4-3 base DE.

Get with Moffitt and probably finish at 250 and maintain that speed.

So, you're thinking like a Mingo. Works for me. Now, lets go get him.

I realize he's not a former Tiger, but Keion Joyner is 6'3". It is rare to see tall LB's, but Gustin can handle the position IMO. I do think you're right though. He's a DE in Chavis' scheme.

Is Gustin a realistic possibility? I thought he was a pipe dream.

I don't really know. He has only talked of making official visits to ND, tOSU, and FSU so far, but I don't get the feeling that he is close to making a decision. If we can get a visit, we probably have a decent shot.

He seems more like he would end up being a DE in Chavis defense

While Leo Lewis or another MLB would add depth to an already projected great pair of Beckwith and Garrett;

The real need is at will and sam.

They are a need for 2015 and 2016.

Other than Gustin, I don't see where we have much of a shot at any other big time LB prospects for this class.

Our recruiters seem to find a few gems toward the end of each recruiting cycle - guys who no one was thinking we had a big chance at. It's especially true when they have early playing time to offer. E.g. Sam Montgomery, Trevonte Valentine, Cifton Garett, Tashawn Bower, Jamal Adams.

CG wasn't quite as late of a pull as those other guys were. He was all LSU since he visited for the spring game of his Junior year
