Im on it. Its been great, especially for lost pets, warnings about break-ins and suspicious behavior. Most if the other posts concern contractors, plumbers, and other services. It's very useful for referals.

Does anyone know how to see what area your neighborhood encompasses?

I signed up but I've never heard the name of what they're calling my neighborhood

My neighborhood hasn't started it yet. I don't really want to accept the "start it up!" invite.

Why don't neighborhoods just do a private FB group?

I just signed up and there are 51 people in my neighborhood who are already signed up. Whoa.

On my Nextdoor home page, the fourth menu item on the top left says Map.

When you click that link you get a detailed map showing every residential property in the neighborhood, with Nextdoor members in green, invitees in yellow, and non-members in red. The neighborhood region is shown with a dark beige background, while areas outside the neighborhood are in lighter beige:

I found out about Nextdoor on this thread, and have found it to be useful so far.
