seems like a reasonable comparison

People drop 60K on bass boats. Some people spend more than that on cars. Some people have 3 or 4 grand tied up in a fishing kayak. Some people pay a million bucks for a moderately sized home with tiny yard because of where it is. Some people will pay $100 for a shirt and think nothing of it. You've got guys spending thousands on tacticool rifles that serve no real purpose.

There's always people spending completely unnecessary amounts of money on things for very little gain over something much cheaper. Hell half the people on this board do it constantly.

Everybody's got something. If you can afford it and you wanna do it, do it.

yeah they look like something you put in your house and never use

If I ever get a nice set of clubs, I can't imagine spending more than a few thousand...to me, that's comparable to 10-15k for bikes

I know a guy who builds bikes himself because he's been obsessed with them since he was a toddler, and I've bought three from him, and I've spent a total of less than $1,000, and all the bikes have been perfect.
