I'm not sure that I would have not had an attitude also. She told the guy to give them time to fix the issue until Monday and he kept on.

I was confused as to why that mattered.

Who cares who said what when.

He says his copy of the contract clearly states his story and the bill says differently.

That is the issue.

So why a 5 minute discussion about waiting till Monday to get testimony that is irrelevant?

The customer. I sure hope I never have to deal with this guy.

The agent stayed nice about 4 minutes longer than I would have.

Not knowing what took place on the phone call, that video showed the manager to be completely rude and out of line. That's not at all an appropriate tone and attitude to take with customers. The guy has a legitimate reason to complain and she blows up on him because they can't get their shite together.

They don't do this, but as someone who worked for a low cost agency last year, I know there were some employees not fully explaining to people what they signed up for.

They'd automatically sign people up for the lowest down payment option and not emphasize that this means your payment is due in 19 days (9 days with a 10 day grace period).

Then when it cancelled and I called (I was in collections), I got bitched at.

I, too, hung up on cursing.

It was a part time job, but one of the biggest drivers for quitting was that I felt the company purposely omitted information so the customer would be unaware and yell at someone else.

He's an idiot and she has no clue what's going on and needed to get her facts straight with her employee before trying to fix "the problem".

I made an address change when I moved to BR and they informed me my bill would go up about 10 dollars a month due to the regional differences. No problem. Then on the next bill I have extra tacked on fees for "plan change" on top of the increase I was notified of. fricking $60 fee for adjusting my plan when all I did was change addresses and not informed of any additional fee until I saw it on the bill. I should have called and bitched in retrospect.

One thing to note about state farm is that thy now require car and home for a new quote and this may not have been communicated to this guy very well as he is obviously a douchebag and an idiot. They probably tacked on a surcharge if he didn't have both. Looks like we need both sides to this.

A lot of agents will do that. They'll add a renters policy on(which shows up as homeowners) because it'll run about $15/month, but also gives you a 10% discount on your auto (multi-policy discount). The discount on the auto may be $20, so youre saving $5/month by having the renters and the agent gets an extra policy count.

The customer is a total deuchebag who needs his arse whipped. He antagonized the SF agent so he could post a vid. Also, your insurance agent has the ability to make or break some claims for you, so why would you want to be on their bad side?

With that said, SF is pissing me off with 3 fricking auto rate increases in a row.
