That 200lb men could do that to an upright? Yes. That the NFL would then ban it? Yes.

Its not like it requires some kind of incredible God given foresight.

It is just dumb. The thing could break worse than before and really delay a game. It could fall in the stands on top of fans. It could fall on the player and hurt them.

It doesn't have to be a great chance of those things happening to still be worth banning it.

Sort of surprised we didn't get a Grammatica moment after all these years.

It took 1 commercial break to fix and delayed the game 0 minutes. They just didn't take a commercial after the XP

23 minute delay in the game ISN'T 1 commercial break.

Link to it being a 23 minute delay.

I went on NFL Rewind and rewatched it before making that post. It went to 1 commercial break before they came back and kicked the ball. The worker was out with a level and latter with 1 minute.

They skipped a commercial break after the XP like they normally do. Commercials in the NFL are set to 10 per half.

Those are all facts. Are you suggesting that there was a 23 minute commercial? That would violate NFL rules

Sorry it was 25 minutes.

Jeff Fisher: Dunk delays unnecessary Jeff Legwold [ARCHIVE] ESPN.com | March 27, 2014 ORLANDO, Fla. -- St. Louis Rams coach and NFL competition committee co-chairman Jeff Fisher said Wednesday morning it was a significant in-game delay caused by one of New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham's dunks that was at the root of the decision to add the goalpost celebration to the list of post-touchdown actions that will draw a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct. In short, the goalpost now is formally considered a prop and can't be used to celebrate a touchdown. "The background is when the committee basically defined unsportsmanlike conduct and celebrations, it grandfathered in the Lambeau Leap, provided only one person jumped into the stands,'' Fisher said. "And also [the committee] made an emphasis, made it illegal, to celebrate using anything as a prop, whether it was a pen or it was a ball or what have you, but then again allowed the players to in essence use the goalpost as a prop -- to dunk, to shoot, whatever. "And then last year we had an incident in one of the games where there was a dunk and the goalpost was tilted and the game was shut down for about 25 minutes until they could get the goalpost corrected. That's unnecessary, and so we just felt that we would include the goalpost in that category as props." Fisher didn't specifically name Graham as the inspiration for the decision to add the dunk to the list of celebration no-nos, but when asked if it was the tight end he said: "It was a player that's done it before that's real tall, catches a lot of touchdown passes and is pretty good.'' NFL vice president of officiating Dean Blandino revealed the change in how the goalpost dunk will be officiated Tuesday during a radio interview with "The Dan Patrick Show.'' Graham, who also played basketball at Miami, has tilted the crossbar twice during his career with touchdown celebrations. In the Saints' game in Atlanta last season, the game was delayed as stadium workers reset the crossbar. "And the same play he dunked and the goalpost shifted and then he used it as a punching bag,'' Fisher said. "Now we're not going to penalize back to back, but the first one, the dunk, now is going to be a penalty. We just can't afford -- can you imagine if someone had a hamstring issue after a 20-minute delay in the game because we allowed a player to dunk?'' Graham responded to the news of the rule change on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon: I guess I'll have to lead the @nfl in penalties next year! #funpolice pic.twitter.com/ruX1TBarzC

Do you understand what a hyberbole is? It was 1 commercial break. I literally just watched it again

Feel free to pay for a NFLrewind account and watch it for yourself

The entire duration of the game, from kickoff to 0:00 was 2 hours and 54 minutes. That is pretty damn impressive with a 25 minute delay

Read the article that explains the rule from the guy whom ran the committee that made the rule. He states that it was about a 25 minute delay. You asked for a link I gave you the article from ESPN.

Either way itts a dumb celebration rule.

Hyperbole

I have the broadcast on my computer right now. It was 1 commercial break.

You are wrong.

Explain how the game was under 3 hours despite having a 25 minute delay

You said it was a rebroadcast you had, so it could have been edited.

This.

Also, it's fairly apparent that the falcons rigged the goal post to come loose with the slightest bit of force.

Kind of hard to take anything else you say seriously.

Also, if he's done this more than once, maybe the "about 25 minute delay" was in a different game.

They could rip a 10' section of the wall down with 20 fans falling to the ground and they still would not ban it.
