Would you cull this young buck? 3 on one side with just a spike on the other side.

On a side note I'm hoping to get this big cull out with my bow opening weekend.

Looks kind of young. Meats going to get tougher with age. Can't eat the horns.

Cull, this deer looked very similar at 2.5 and we decided to give him another year and it was a mistake

Would not shoot buck #1. He's only 1.5 yr old and could easily be a nice buck in a couple of years. You really can't tell much at all about a deer during his first two sets of antlers. A fawn born a little later in the year than most will lag a bit behind, but quickly catch up by year 3 or 4.

Deer #2 has to be your call. He looks closer to 2 than 3 to me, but I don't know a what a typical 3yr old in your area looks like. If I had previous trail cam pics and knew him to be 3+, I'd def take him out. At only 2.5 - I'd probably give him a pass.

And then again, I have a real hard time passing any deer when they are broadside at 15yds with a bow in my hand.

He's obviously going to have assymmetry moving forward. Is he a cull? Only if you have a comprehensive management plan on a large piece of property or a high fenced operation.

If you dont have either of these things then culling accomplishes nothing. The decision really becomes do I want to shoot this deer?

He could look cool as hell in a year or two.
