I agree - the dead man was IMHO a tPOS but after he is dead i with his blood running down the street, I would expect the body to be covered. For the sake of his mother, common decency more than for the dead man.
IMHO if he hadn't robbed the store, threatened the cop, he would still be alive smoking his stolen stogies.

For four hours, I believe. Seems really uncalled for.

Poor Rex... He actually posts a thread where he's not being a pugnacious troll, and he still gets beaucoup downvotes.

Thankfully, I've never had to discharge my weapon but I've seen plenty of training videos from real life police shootings. The way that person described the shooting is what I've seen at least a dozen times. People don't normally just drop down after being shot once or twice (especially someone Brown's size). It's not like on TV. As law enforcement we are trained to neutralize the threat once the decision has been made to use deadly force. That means you keep firing until YOU as the officer no longer feel it as a threat. If Brown continued to come at the officer I can't imagine how the officer would not perceive that as a continued threat.

I have no reason to believe the eyewitness in the video is lying. This exonerates Darren Wilson in my mind, even when it might not in some court.

Why attack Rex when he is being rational in a thread?
He was on the right side of the Travon Martin situation, and looks like he is not taking the knee-jerk left wing response to this one.
I say give credit where credit is due.

I noticed, also, that the eyewitness doesn't say that Michael Brown had his hands up in surrender, although one would think it quite critical to the entire affair.

You have to put the timing of that into context. The person talking is never shown on video but he sounds like he lived nearby by the way he described the scene and was talking to the others. This is within the first 10 minutes after the shooting before more than a handful of cops and EMS personnel have arrived and long before any media. There is absolutely no reason for him to lie to these others and no reason to paint Brown in a bad light (unless the knew him and did not like him but even then I can't imagine coming up with a lie to discredit him while he is lying dead in the street). At least that is my opinion without knowing any of the actual facts

What an amazing video. Good find, Rex. You can really feel the hostility of the complex there, how completely surrounded the cops were. You can feel that it's all about to boil over. Remarkable.

Can we stop using words that normally are used in reference to children when we are talking about an adult that was larger than an average SEC lineman?
SEC linemen are kids.
The term "Kids" has to do with age, mentality, and/or maturity.... Not size.
But you knew that already.

I'm a bit furious with CNN right now... because they've got the same cellphone video extremely shortened with the eyewitness completely taken out... and the CNN analyst presents it as THE cellphone video and as though it's presented in its entirety:

haven't watched, but per your post are you saying Brown was running towards the police officer?

Just saw an interview with Dorian Johnson's lawyer, hes claiming that the officer grabbed mike brown by the throat while he was sitting in his car. Isn't Brown 6'4" or something like that?? How would that be possible unless he was trying to get at the officer and leaning down?
