I see Mett as a quality backup in this league not a starter. His lack of mobility will kill his chances.
Gotta be kidding me.
Matt Cassel starts in this league. Brian Hoyer starts in this league. Mett is already better than both of those bums.
There's a QB scarcity in this league, not an abundance. There are not 32 quality starting QBs in this league. There are a number of teams where he would be an upgrade over the starter.

Agree. Part of the equation is being in the right place too. Mett and JFF are the only two QB's I see with much chance of making right now out of this stellar SEC class of QB's. JFF is just JFF - enough said. Mett is somewhere that needs a QB even if it is backup for a year or two - BTW, the Titans did not exercise their option on Locker this year. He will be a FA at the end of the season. McCarron, Murray, and Shaw are on teams that don't really need them. Not sure where Russell is.

quote:Brees has PLENTY of mobility. YOu don't have to be Michael Vick to be described as a mobile QB, nor do you have to take off running. Brees's mobility within the pocket is what enables him to avoid sacks. He actually has above average mobility for a QB.
Lack of mobility didn't hurt Payton, Brees and a number of other very good quarterbacks
