I got a ticket for an expired inspection sticker. Court date is coming up. Is this an easy win or not? I've heard that cops get paid overtime for showing up to court or something.
You win if the cop doesn't show. Otherwise, no chance. It's pretty black and white. I've had friends beat speeding infractions (challenging whether or not the device used to detect them was properly and recently calibrated), but they spent $400 on a lawyer to beat a $180 ticket. I guess it could balance out in savings to insurance if you already have a bad record.

Yes, but all that is really necessary is to write the DA's office and they'll move it to a non moving violation with full payment.
Assuming you have a clean record.

People that say this are the same people that tell you to keep a bottle of booze in your car in case you get pulled over while drunk.
If the cop doesn't show the prosecutor will call him and get him there or just continue it 9/10 times. And you'll waste half a day.

You know not just one, but multiple people that beat traffic tickets in court by hiring a lawyer for 400 dollars to fight a 180 dollar ticket, thereby losing more money in the process than the original fine? You're surrounded by geniuses my friend.
your story sounds like made up internet bullshite anyway.
