I made Quelag my bitch. She wasn't too bad. Figured out her sword attack pretty quick so I just dodged it and when she went to puke lava I just 2 hand wailed on her middle.

Blighttown was worse. I'll be honest I used a guide to finish up getting through blighttown and to be able to get all the stuff, but didn't need it for her.

The advice about upgrading my gear before stats has been the most useful. I'm still using Claymore and it's Raw +3 I think. Still destroying stuff with it.

I guess Sen's is next

Never do the raw upgrade. Not efficient.

If u used a guide...you find ash lake in blighttown?

I don't think so. I went down the depths route, got to the swamp area and got all the stuff the guide said was there. Killed Quelag and saw her sister, then went back up on the big wooden wheel thing that ended up taking me to Valley of Drakes real quick and then Anor Londo.

There's no firelink bonfire now, there's some creepy looking serpent in that pool, and the firekeeper soul woman isn't there.

I started Sen's. Died a few times, but eventually made it past the pendulums then up the hill with the rolling balls. It was pretty damn nerve-racking and late last night so I used a homeward bone and will start it again later. I think I can get back to that point without much trouble.

I read that somewhere. That if you go the raw route you can't enchant. Oh well, I guess I wasted a few titanite. All Andre has right now is divine and raw ascensions.

Is there a good spot to farm titanite to redo my claymore? The best I've found is the balder knights in the parish.

Only time Raw is useful is when you don't level up stats to make certain weapons viable, i.e., elemental weapons or str/dex builds; if I'm a str build I'll infuse a bow with raw since I'm not leveling dex.

I'm in Anor londo with str at 40 and a zweihander+9. When I put another stat point into str, zweihander attack doesn't go up at all and I've read that there's no point in putting points in a stat past 40.

Earlier in this thread someone was mentioning something about not putting points into dex, so I was wondering what am I supposed to be doing with these souls? I'm not gonna run around here with 100k+ souls.

Maybe a link to a primer on build basics and what I should be looking toward being endgame. I don't give a shite about pvp.

I had one of those moments the other day when the gargoyles dropped me off in Anor londo. That view...

This game is amazing

Zweihander won't get much of a bump from dex, I would level it enough to use a bow but that's it.

Yeah, soft cap for most stats are 40 or 50, anything more than that will be diminishing returns. Your damage won't increase dramatically when you raise your stats, but you'll need the very large ember from new Londo ruins to get your weapons and equipment from 10-15.

So aside from that what should I be doing with all these souls? Weapon upgrading doesn't cost a ton

You could upgrade a pyro glove. Once you get it to +15 you can upgrade it further from Quelana in Lower Blighttown. Other than that, since you're not worried about pvp, then level to your heart's content.

*if you haven't and eventually want to use any kind of spells, make sure to level up attunement to have at least 3 or 4 slots.

I really only get time to play on weekends. So no. Hopefully I get to play some this weekend, but with football, it's not looking likely.

That and the fact that I like all these 40 hour games are why my backlog is so bad. I've already bought Dark Souls 2 and Demon's Souls has been sitting on my PS3 since PS plus had it for free one month.

No I didn't like my sorcerer and didn't like the levels and enemies.

Instead of forcing myself to like it I just quit.

Ds2 just wasn't the same, to me.

The DLC is really similar to DS1, if you ever feel like revisiting it. The second bit feels like something straight out of the first game.

Really don't get the hate everybody has for Sen's. Definitely one is the easiest and also most fun.

Sen's is a blast. I wish it were way bigger.
