Blight town was easily the worst 2 weeks of my life. Even my gf was commenting about how I was so irritable all the time.
I actually never ended up finishing the game. Got stuck on four kings after Anor Londo. Then said frick it and started doing pvp only once I joined the Blades of Dark Moon. I always loved exacting some revenge on those same arse holes that screwed me with invasions when i was a low level.
At this point I'm just waiting till I can play on the Xbone. I know they said they weren't doing that but I'm holding out hope.

How in the ever loving hell did you beat the Smelter Demon in the DLC? That guy eats my face on the reg. Other two bosses were easy enough.

Stack magic resistance. Other than that, he's basically the same as the one in IK.

Seems like he has a much larger HP pool. Thanks for the tip, I will try that tonight. I want to wrap the DLC up before picking up Destiny tomorrow.

Finally had enough time to play and I'm now getting my arse kicked by ornstein and smough.

Try them on SL1.
Summon Solaire and kill Ornstein first; Super Smough is much easier and has only one attack you really have to look out for.
It's really not that bad.

SL1?
The more I try the easier they seem to be. Yeah, I've been working on ornstein mainly because smough seems slow and easy to dodge even with both of them. It's just been a matter of separating the both of them. Ornate in keeps getting stuck behind smough's fat arse.

What makes pyromania stronger? I've got one attunement slot and a pyromancy glove. A few spells and that's it.

Free the pyromancer from the depths and he can upgrade it to +10, after that, you can upgrade it further with Quelana in Blighttown - she's close to the boss entrance.

I did that and when I upgrade it it looks like the stats stay the same.

It doesn't scale so you won't get an idea about damage until you use it.
Yeah, she can ascend it to +5 after getting it to +15; you can also buy the more powerful pyro spells from her. You have to get it to at least +10 for her to appear.
I'll play the DLC when I get home tonight; I like what I've seen from it. I love the first two DLCs.

I beat the DLC a little bit ago and think it's great -- probably my favorite zone of the three, with an epic final boss. Some great loot too.

While I appreciate what dark souls does, it sums up why I couldn't get into it either.
