I suspect that is probably true as the parts make the whole.

I mean when was the last time Bama cranked out a true superstar like a Derrick Thomas on Defense. Maybe since Derrick Thomas? I would have thought with Saban's super recruiting skills we would have a player be a sack machine that trasitions those skills to the NFL, but it hasn't happened although his D's are always among the best in the country.

Id bet less than 5 dudes on that team do.

I really don't think it's fair to call CK a bust or use this situation as any sort of tell tale sign regarding Bama's system. He was a flat out stud pre-injury. He hasn't regained form since.

It's not Saban's fault. He wasn't an overused RB. Linemen get hurt sometimes. It's also not fair to indict his work ethic. He was awesome before the knee injury robbed him of his agility and movement. He was drafted not based on his last year, but based on the hope that he could return to his pre-injury form or close to it, which was top-10 pick worthy.

In the end, this is just another unfortunate injury situation--nothing more.

And it's not like Alabama has sent duds to the league over the last seven years. Eddie Lacy was the Offensive Rookie of the Year last year, running for 1,148 yards and 11 touchdowns despite missing several games due to a concussion as well as an ankle injury and Julio Jones is regarded as one of the best receivers in the NFL.

And neither can stay healthy.

It's not a talent issue it's that they get broken at bama and the horse steroids take their toll. These guys have nothing left by the time they get to the league.

He's serviceable but hasn't lived up to his billing.

I'm not on the Bama bust bandwagon. I think a lot of the "busts" have been due to changes in officiating, PED use, and injuries.

I agree, it's a damn shame Bama players can't cut it in the NFL.

Eddie Lacy had 355 career rushing attempts at Alabama.

A lot of running backs in college get that many carries in a year.

Actually we have plenty that are doing just fine in the NFL. Where is LSU's Lacy or Julio? You don't have any that can compare to either.
