i'm totally serious about Sunseri though.

i think he could be a liability in coverage.

i use to love it when he was in the game for Alabama because usually teams were smart enough to locate him trying to play the star/nickel back role and they would go to town on him.

he was better as a free safety last year... you've got to give him credit there.

but if he has to cover a WR instead of roaming around in the backfield... shite I think he's a lost cause.

Sunseri even got torched for a long gainer at Alabama against Western Carolina when everybody else could go through the motions and not frick up.

some of what i've said are just some things i've heard a few friends say about him who are Alabama fans.

Sunseri looked really good vs the Rams. On both special teams and on D. Love the way we used him on D as well. He was playing in the box most of the time. And he's a really good tackler.

I was impressed by him.

Funny.

I don't remember the "Is kenny Vaccaro a prick"? threads last year for his rough, hard hitting style.

Hmmm.

If anyone is wondering why some people think there is a bias against Bama players by some fans, I offer this as exhibit A.

I think everyone knows Sunseri is a liability in coverage. He's basically the new Roman Harper. If he's in the game, it will likely be close to the line of scrimmage in zone or on a blitz. IMO

I'll take it since he's on our side. He could be an impact player on special teams.

The dude's fighting to make a team, don't blame him for dialing up the intensity.

Ingram is the only Gump on our team FWIW. Vinnie will be alright! He's not the modern-day Kevin Kaesviharn

He's a rookie that is falling on the depth chart behind guys like Marcus Ball and maybe even Peiere Warren. He just trying to make a name for himself and trying to stick out a bit. I have heard nothing but good things about his football smarts and demeanor.

I like the hustle and attitude he shows, but he was the glaring weak spot on Bama's defense the past 2 years.

Well being as though the front office used a mid round draft pick on him I don't think they saw him as so much of a liability. But then again they did keep Harper and Jenkins around for a while. Eh, like I said in another post, I'm ok with him being a standout special teamer and I think he can cover TEs in certain sets

yeah, I know.

maybe he can become a regular on special teams too.

i was just kinda going along with the theme here and talking some shite. No worries mayne.

if he does see the field on defense you'd think that Rob Ryan would put him in spots to succeed. He caters to the strengths of the player.
