He is a better shooter.
I don't think Steph creates offense for his team near as much as Lebron does.

If he said he was a better scorer, I may agree. But overall Lebron is better offensively. Durant and Carmelo are probably better than LeBron offensively, though.
Best offensive player = best player when his team possesses the ball. That encompasses many different things. Shooting, scoring, post up game, perimeter game, passing, ball handling, creating for yourself, creating for teammates, able to play multiple roles within the offense, etc.
Lebron James is the best offensive player in the game, period. You want to argue curry is a better shooter, or Durant/Carmelo is a better scorer, those can be debated. But as an overall offensive player it's not even a question.

I saw curry play in person a couple of times and he's naturally gifted on offense. Dropped 36 one of those games and he barely broke a sweat going what looked to be half speed(GS had just played a game the night before). Looked effortless
Not saying I agree with Steph but Lebron does rely a lot on his strength more than just a natrul ability to score. Curry should pump the breaks though

Steph's a more skilled offensive player, but because of his size and athleticism, LeBron is a far better player. Curry's obviously the better shooter and I'd say he probably has better handles. LeBron's a better finisher inside. Vision and passing is pretty even with maybe a slight edge to LeBron. But LeBron is a good jump shooter now and he just doesn't need fancy crossovers to beat his man. LeBron creates more points for his team and does it more efficiently and it's not even close. Curry's as skilled as anyone in the league though, he just doesn't have the size and strength to score well in the paint and get to the line a ton and that prevents him from being as good offensively as LeBron and a couple other guys.

those of you talking about curry, durant and melo, do you guys realize that passing and dribbling are parts of offenisse? Lebron is easily the best. He could put up the ssme scoring anybody does if he chose too.

let them play one on one and see who is the better offensive player. Not knocking Curry because he is a great offensive player, but saying your better than Lebron, how do you judge that other than one on one? Lebron would destroy him in one on one and i'm not a Lebron fan.
...this just makes no sense.
Lebron's still a better offensive player

Bron Bron would run that twat in the ground.

I don't really follow NBA, but this seems most logical.. just from what I have seen casually watching.

Way better shooter can't deny that. Lebron can attack the rim and post up way better than Curry ever will.

Curry's a better shooter without a doubt, but that's only one piece of the puzzle.
If you want to score the most efficiently, Lebron is your man.

Steph Curry is arguably more skilled, but he is not a better offensive player.
I'm sure there are 5'0" guys on this planet with better skill than a few NBA players, but at the end of the day, size is part of the equation.

This.
Curry is more skilled on offense... but due to LBJ freakish size, speed, and strength, hes the better player. And just dominant.

Kevin Durant and Lebron are 1-A and 1-B
Durant / Lebron is the best total offensive player.
Curry is the best shooter.
Carmelo is the best chucker.
