re: OT travelers...flying with three kids. Logistical advice sought.

1 year old can sit in your lap. You can check the car seats. Strollers they can put at the bottom of the plane. They're used to handling this, and it's no big deal. There's no point in putting a kid in a car seat on a plane either.

Last flight I took had the poor dad carrying one massive car seat on his back and carrying another in his hands. They boarded first class. They set up both seats for the kids on the plane. Looked insane and miserable.

Also book early enough to ensure that you can get all of your seats together. Be sure to carry bottles, snacks, and whatever form of entertainment they enjoy. We flew with our three kids every year. That 1-2 age range was a little tough, but I have well behaved kids, so it wasn't too bad.
