WHY? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

not only are your aesthetics unattractive, but being a fatass is not healthy.

men lift for: A) looks and B) health ...while these tubs of lard lift to expand.

having a fat gut and being able to squat 400 lbs is pointless. the end

I agree 100%. I really have no idea what they are trying to accomplish. I mean congrats you can lift a ford fusion but you are unattractive and unhealthy

You sound insecure. You should tell that to one of the fatass power lifters next time you're curling your 30 lb dumbbells

Their goal is to be strong. I don't get why someone would want to be strong and look like shite but to each his own.

Your inability to lift making you pissy?

Yeah, it's making you pissy.

I no longer lift & just do distance running now.

But, some may just like the exhaustive feeling of lifting, or be bulking for right now before the shredding factor.

FWIW haven't benched in two years & still crank out 25 pull-ups.

I haven't seen this yet, but being in a small town, I probably won't.

If you're talking about the person whom i think you're talking about, he's actually an amazing human being who i am extremely grateful to have as a close friend. if you had taken the five seconds to say "whats up" and converse with him instead of jumping to ignorant conclusions, maybe you would realize he's a awesome guy. and FWIW, that 4 finger ring was a gift. and he is far from a wook. yes, he has fedora but if you we're too spun out, you would have noticed that he doesn't have dreads and was most definitely rocking some fly arse Nike's. and we all know wooks don't wear shoes ;) so yeah, maybe if you stop judging people by their appearance and instead try engaging in a conversation with them, you just might meet a new friend :) my $0.02

Mark Rippetoe is responsible for this recent trend IMO.

I had a fatass co worker that was like. He was short and fat but would always talk about the gym. It didn't look like he even worked out but was always bragging about his strength.

I think it's funny, because they are fat and only have to bring the bar down 3 inches they think they can lift tons of weight.

some people try to maximize functional strength for sport reasons. (speaking first-hand as a rugby player for the #2 team in the US)
