Not sure how big of one you are looking to get, but if you're getting one around 100 quarts Moeller makes one hell of a cooler.

I don't know about the bear-proof-ness of them or anything, but a friend had the Brute ice chest for the Tarpon Rodeo. I liked the latches a lot more than my K2 and Yeti. Other than that, they're really not all that different.

This past weekend I examined most all the brands side by side in one place (Engel, K2, Grizzly). None of them seemed as a high quality as the Yeti as far as fit / finish. I did not like the K2 latches at all, ditto the handles on the Engel.
