Base metal, cost of producing that band with it. It's nice. Put it on different bands and wear it out. If anyone asks...they'll just be looking...style isn't given. You have to manage it. I just made that up .

watches are kind of bullshite narcissistic trinkets actually. If I see someone with a really nice watch on I wonder about them in a negative way.

You realize that is the reason why 99.9% of people wear watches ?

100% agree with this!

I have had plenty of gizmo watches... Atomic timekeeping, solar power, kinetic power, perpetual calendar, altimeter, barometer, thermometer, bluetooth, shock proof, steel, rubber, titanium, ceramic... Even had one that was supposed to be magnetically insulated so that you could wear it around MRI scanners.

But once the gadget-ness wore off, basically, I just needed something to tell time and date... so back to the Tag or Rolex.

I wear a watch everyday. Either a Bulova or a citizen. Black leather or brown leather. Not very expensive. But it does the job.

I gave up on wearing watches a long time ago, but if the oil/gas fracking payday ever reaches me in Livingston Parish, this is the bad boy I'm getting--pre-owned for a mere $16K w/ free shipping:
