Anybody know the playing dimensions of the dome or Tulane? I fear they are insanely narrow just a gormely is, which takes away from the game IMO

I think if you measure, though, the Superdome still has at least ten yards on each side, that would make it between 75 and 80 yards to the front of the plaza seats. There should be just enough.
Besides, I don't think they'd bid if they couldn't get a FIFA sized pitch in there, it only has to be 70 yards.

The plaza level seats in the dome can be pushed back so I believe they can make it work
can they still do that after the renovations?

No. I think they removed the tracks from the floor, as well.

Looks like they can remove the first nine rows of seats on the sidelines to the corners:

So a full-sized soccer pitch installation with plenty of sideline space will be no issue.

I believe that I read that Tulane's new stadium would be too narrow for a FIFA regulation field.
It's good to know that the renovations to the Dome left it capable of hosting games. Now, we just have to get some.
It's too bad the LSED folks have had such a non-proactive stance for so long. We host every other kind of thing known to man, why not have given this an official go before?
