Moneyball eats dog crap for breakfast.

Bull Durham makes its weenies with its momma's toe jam.

Major League bobs for apples in the toilet and it likes it.

Field of Dreams plays ball like a girl.

Major League and For the Love of the Game > Bull Durham.

If you take out half the bullshite with his ex-wife, For the Love of the Game is one of the greatest sports movies of all time.

I'd put Bull Durham on top of my list. There are a lot of great baseball movies though.

Crash: It's not woolly. Nobody gets woolly. Women get weary. They don't get woolly. Nobody gets "stress." They're wearing a "dress." I hate people that get the words wrong.

Love it. It's up there for me with The Sandlot and Field of Dreams.

It's a candidate - I like:

Pride of the Yankees

The Bad News Bears (1976)

A League of Their Own

Major League

Bull Durham

...as top 5.

You misspelled The Sandlot.

Yes
If Sandlot counts as a baseball movie, its above Bull Durham too.

Bull Durham and Field of Dreams in any order.

Everything else is fighting for third.

All these people in here arguing about movies not named Bull Durham.

Teddy Cullinane: [broadcasting on the radio] I've never seen Crash so angry. And frankly, sports fans, he used a word that's a no-no with umpires.
Millie: [Annie snaps off the radio] Crash must've called the guy a cocksucker.
Annie: Mmmmm. How romantic.

Yeah, a lot of people aren't For the Love of the Game fans, but I really like it. Major League is probably my favorite, but Bad News Bears and Moneyball are also up there. I like Bull Durham as well but not a Field of Dreams fan.

How is Bull Durham barely a baseball movie?

If anything, it is the most baseball movie of all baseball movies.

According to Bill Simmons, it's not a sports movie.

I just read Simmons reasoning, and it makes some sense.

It's a baseball movie to me, dammit.
