From the little I have heard about Corey white so far during this camp it hasnt been good. Is it safe to assume its a two man race with Bailey and P. Rob for the #2 cornerback spot giving them an edge on the rook?

It'll most likely be Robinson at RCB, and Bailey in the slot. I saw a stat yesterday that said we were in nickle almost 75% of the time last year, so Bailey will still get a lot of snaps. Having him in the slot will work well, because you'll get to limit his snaps somewhat to keep him fresh all year, while still getting a lot out of him.

Regardless. I think the rotation at #2/nickel will be fine with Prob, bailey and white.

I don't see how anyone could be surprised with his showing in camp so far. I mean, aside from the "how dare you talk bad about one of our player's" fans that are embedded in these boards; it was clear last year that Corey White fricking sucks. He's god awful in man coverage and got burnt on numerous occasions last season, and yet people here still jumped to his defense. HE frickING SUCKS!!! And I hope we cut him.

It won't be Jean Baptiste. Probably Champ or Robinson.

From Nola.com
quote:

Judging by what I've seen from Bailey this offseason, he seems to be the favorite to win the starting job at cornerback opposite Keenan Lewis. Bailey has seen all of his playing time with the first-team defense through three days of training camp rotating practice reps with Patrick Robinson.

From USAtoday

quote:

"He's still Champ Bailey,'' New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan told USA TODAY Sports after Saturday's training-camp practice. "He's awesome.

From ESPN

quote:

Naturally, there are questions about how much the 12-time Pro Bowler and likely Hall of Famer has left in the tank. But the Saints clearly had a vision for how the 36-year-old can aid their deep and versatile defense. And Bailey has a great shot at winning a starting job this summer.

Sounds like he is having a great camp

P-Rob will be lucky to keep a roster spot. They are lighting him up in camp!

I think itll be split between PRob and Bailey... depending on our opponent and match ups. And the other will be at the nickel / slot CB spot.
