It's a neutral spirit by law and should have no taste. What about that don't you understand?

Water shouldn't have a taste by definition either, and yet there are differences depending on whose water you drink.

what's stupid in arguing the intricacies in flavor of an unaged, neutral grain spirit

Cheap. If I'm doing vodka it's probably getting mixed. I'm not going to get a whole lot of flavor profile out of it even if vodka did have a hugely distinct flavor profile (which it doesn't).
There are slight differences but for the most part it's 6 in one, half a dozen in the other.
Svedka works just fine for me.

So those who drink the higher end vodkas (ciroc, goose, belvedere), how do y'all drink it? Rocks? Martinis?
Chopin Potato - this is my personal favorite for sipping. It has a great buttery taste (subtle though). I either do a twist of lemon peel or pickle chasers.
Goose is a marketing ploy, so it's popular and overpriced. Belvedere is very good, and I believe it's the same makers of Chopin.
For mixing, I agree with Titos and Sobieski

Martini's where the flavor is not masked- Tito's
Mixed in anything- likely just Smirnoff

Tito's and Smirnoff are perfectly fine for 99% of vodka scenarios.

If you can't taste the difference in vodka's, there's something wrong with you.
I would bet you $1,000 that you could not pick which was Skol, Skyy or Grey Goose 8/10 times.
