Stupid snake had the whole world to slither in and he picked your Area Of Operation.
Look at him now!

Beautiful pattern on a copperhead. And that IS a big one. Good job!

Exactly! Except I didn't shoot him. If I'd have had a shotgun nearby, he wouldn't look so pretty.

Two years ago we had a nest of these somewhere around the house. Never did figure out where but we killed 8 of them (mostly babies) in or around my garage.

My niece was bitten on the toe by one of these the same year (not at our house though) and spent 3 days at LSU Med center.

Back in "07 my Dad's lab was bitten in the face by a cotton mouth and started haveing seizures and died.

If I see them and they're poisonous....they die. Period.

This

I just hung a 42" timber rattler that had 14 rattles on the wall in my office. I still hear him rattling in my sleep. And, while fishing Saturday morning I almost stepped on a juvenile copperhead. Dropped a brick on his head instead and Little Dong 1 is drying him on a board as I type this.

He's big! That means there are plenty more. You will die soon.

Man that would be a nice looking skin on the wall, especially at that size. I would have probably kept it.
