I choose the 2003 defense with the anguish and fearful ball hawking skills of the 2011 defense!!! May I predict the 2014 defense will be a combination of both defense!!!

03 caused more turnovers, and had more defensive TDs (7 total/ 5 from INTs) than '11 (6 total/ 3 each). so much for unprecedented.

2011 did face a greater variety of offensive schemes since there's a lot more spread and spread option in CFB now. not to mention HUNH. I think 03 could've done well with those types of offenses, they had some good depth and versatility with guys like Blue Gay, Prude, Mays, Mel Oliver and Pittman.
