Around town I usually drive about 10 over especially if the limit is 25 mph. I might even do 15 then. On the interstate I usually do 7-10 over. My car isn't built to go slow

Adhere to the speed limit in residential areas.

On Interstate or "non residential" roads like Airline or Jefferson, I tend to speed.

On city streets up here in Lexington I go about the speed limit or 5 over.

On the interstate anywhere from 7-15 mph over the speed limit. Only have had one ticket four years ago.

Too damn fast. I know I've been pulled over more than 30 times in the 15 years I've been driving. I seem to have an innate ability to talk my way out of citations. I was pulled over twice within two hours last October.....no ticket.

Get off of interstate then gramps.

Speed limit in neighborhoods, except the ghetto ones. Then I haul arse.

I do 5-10 over in town.

Cruise on 90-100 on interstate.

Speed limit on surface streets and highways through town.

Cruise is set at 5 over the speed limit on everything else.

I've never had a speeding ticket.

The winning strategy. You can wave at cops shooting radar doing 5 over.

What is your method of talking to these officers. I usually barely crack my window during the exchange. They usually get a kick out of it.

Speed limit. Right lane. Life is easy.

This is so true. Although you may get to your destination 3-5 minutes later (depending on how far you are driving), you arrive a lot less stressed out - the drive is much more pleasant too...maybe I'm just getting old.

This.

When I was younger (51 now), I used to drive just like many of the posters in this thread. Road raging, yelling at drivers in the left lane, flashing high beams at the driver in front. Much too much stress. Taking life easy now. Love driving this way watching the madmen go flying past. Always laugh when I get the the traffic signal and they are right beside me or one car up. Just smile and give them a friendly wave.

85 on the interstate, as fast as the legal gray area will allow everywhere else.
