Hey, I'm still doing all of my research when it comes to this stuff. What's wrong with EOtech in your opinion? What's the better alternative? Aimpoint?

Aimpoint comp m4 or Aimpoint t1. Also, if you want something ACOG-like get the Browe BCO, glass is much nicer and it has better features.

Aimpoint is the gold standard as far as I'm concerned. T1, H1, or Pro.

Apparently it has more rugged internals and has a way to have screw on flip covers. Looks awesome (and will be what I get when I get my AD Reaper 33) but most people want the t1 price to come down when they put out the t2.

Hell of a rifle. You chose wisely on your first purchase.

Why the hate for EO Tech? I just can't see the reasoning for an ACOG either.

Love my Eotech. But, if you can't remember to turn on your optic, or that it will auto shut down in either 4 or 8 hours...then you may want to stay away. I'm mostly a recreational shooter, so I don't give a damn about the auto off feature.

Both are great (as well as the ACOG). But, if your for one, then you're usually against the other, I find. Especially on the internet.

Love the Eotech reticle. Love it love it love it. I have the EXPS series. Don't know much about the others.

Yes, the Eotech is bulky. Weights...

EXPS (includes the QD mount) comes in at 8 oz.
Aimpoint pro comes in at 7.8 oz
Aimpoint T-1 w/mount in at 3.7 oz
Aimpoint T-2 w/mount in at 4.9 oz

I don't mind the weight. A lot of folks do.

i ran this night force 1-4 on my 16 for a while and loved it. i've since put on a T-1 (love it) and the night force will go on my 300blk build.

the 1-4 give you much flexibility. the 1x is still easy on the eyes close quarters and the 4x allows you to reach out comfortably.

ETA: forgot to say congrats and awesome choice on rifle!
