We've been to Kenny & Ziggy's , Red Lion, and Lankford's, all located in H-town, plus The Cove in San Antonio. All of them are good, but we had also discovered them before Triple D fame. We've also been to a few Man vs. Food places too, Chunky's and Lulu's in San Antonio.

I went to Breaux cajun Diner in Nashville when we went to the CMA Country Music fest back in 2013. The Smoked pork chop stuffed with homemade Andouille was very good.
Alot of local people from Nashville was hitting the place up for his boiled crawfish. The owner is originally from Lafayette.

Incredible place. Could be the best biscuit in America at that place.
It really is. The only problem is every tourist floods the place and I hate waiting in lines so I don't eat there as often as I would like.

Unfortunately, I never ate there when it was good. I worked in Tomball after it had changed ownership. Honestly, for the times we went, for the money I spent and the food I got, I would have been better off going to McDonalds. I have never seen a place live off of it's OLD, OUTDATED reputation for so long.
I saw the current owner on a TV cooking competition - I think it was deep fried masters - he didn't survive the first round and was cooking their famous "chicken fried steak".
If someone wants a good southern/comfort food meal in Tomball the best place is Mel's Country Cafe. They have the best chicken fried chicken to ever grace a plate. When I worked in Tomball I used to know what day it was by what Mel's had on special.

Maybe Smoque BBQ in Chicago. Pulled off the DDD website.

Panini Pete's in Fairhope, AL was really good. The turkey panini with herbed mayo and the roast beef panini can't miss.
Silver Skillet in Atlanta, GA is a good meat and three.

Pok Pok and the Country Cat were both top notch in Portland.

I've only been to one. "Dough" in San Antonio. Which was an upscale pizzeria and not at all a D, D or a D.
Very good pizza though. An a-hole was drunk next to us and they gave us free desserts which were delicious.

In Louisiana I've been to Surrey's, Creole Creamery, and Casamento's and like them all.
In Mississippi I've been to The Shed and Blowfly Inn. Thought both of them were just OK.
In Houston I've been to Kenny & Ziggy's -- also thought it was just OK.
But my favorite of all was Uncle Lou's in Memphis. I believe Guy also included it as his choice on "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" --
