Because she is the one and only Kimberly S in Denver, Colorado.

When i have A boarding on Southwest but friends with B or C i just hold a whole row for them. If someone tries to sit in my row I just say my wife took my kid to the bathroom or something, nobody questions that.

He was flying with his kids. I'm assuming they were younger bc they were scared and started crying. Bc SW doesn't have assigned seating, it could have been hard for him to find 3 seats together so he could fly with his kids without boarding priority. I do this all the time with kids bc of this reason. They would likely make someone move so they could sit together, anyway, so might as well let them board together early so another passenger isn't inconvenienced with a move after sitting. They stopped family boarding first so parents have switched to priority instead on SW.

If they are 4 or younger you board before group B. If not, I doubt you'd have much trouble asking someone to move so your two children can sit with you. Unless they are like 15

I heard from a friend that SW is really good to musicians and lets you carry on instruments as large as a guitar. My $2800 guitar has not only been allowed on the plane but also been placed in the flight attendants' closet up front for safe keeping. That's four flights (round trip) where I've received that kind of treatment.

My delta flight last week had two instruments placed in the Crew Storage for passengers.

Your CNN article can say whatever it would like, but I fly 15+ times a month and I am forced to go into our companies search website for the cheapest flight and it is always Southwest. I also have never really experienced a mysterious delay with them for an unknown reason

ETA: Your own article even says Southwest is the cheapest if you check a bag

Uh, they are generally always the cheapest out of NOLA. And if not Southwest, then jetblue or Frontier.

Find me a site where Delta, United etc are consistenly offering cheaper fares out of NOLA than Southwest.

They seem to always be at least 1/3 more.

His own article says they are the cheapest if you check a bag. And even if you dont check a bag it is still cheaper 40% of the time. That is pretty solid

I'm sorry, but you're flying through the sky via public transportation

I never understood people getting irate over delays. (Not referring to you personally, just people in general)

I'm glad you've had good experiences.

Fly a 100 segments and you'll probably feel differently.

The bobo-honking that goes on in some of these threads for Southwest's supposed great service gets old.

They used to be really good, but they have quickly fallen in line with all the rest of majors.

I am flying to NOLA right now on Delta. I paid $290 for my ticket. I think SW was $275 with crappier times.

I'll fork over the extra $15 to fly Delta EVERYTIME

My non-stop MSY-ATL two weeks ago was $119 on Delta. $197 on Southwest/AirTran.

They had a major advantage when they were able to hedge fuel at 20-30% cheaper. Now they are in the same bind as the other legacy carriers.
