If it's one of those turn arrows, and someone is too quick on the draw and gives me a blast, I will just shut it down and not go. I'm never in THAT big of a hurry and I get a lot of satisfaction from making dome a-hole wait for another light change.

I enjoy watching the light for the other street turn yellow and then lay on my horn the millisecond ours turns green. Just for amusement.

Never happens to me. If I'm first I have the clutch halfway out at 2500rpm when the other light turns yellow.

How would you know how quick they were to honk? I've been honked at in that situation probably 3 times and I had no idea how long the light had been green because I wasn't fricking paying attention. Are your reflexes so terrible that you could be watching a stop light, see it turn green and have people complaining before you've started accelerating?

this seems to happen to me in certain parts of New Orleans than in any other part of the state - I'm in sales so I cover the entire state. It grates on my last nerve to have someone blow at me the second the light turns green - are we at state capital drag way?

This does exist! People don't realize if you bonk the horn with bottom of your fist it makes a short quiet honk.
If you press down, even for a second, it's loud enough to warn a train. I save this horn for jerks, rest of the time it's just the tap.

I do it only if the guy in front of me is clearly fricking around and I'm in danger of missing the light. Even then it's just a light tap to say "excuse me, bro." I never lay on the horn or preemptively honk. I'm never in enough of a hurry to risk having to deal with some a-hole's road rage.

Surprised no one had brought up the fact yet that people in Br stop 2-3 car links back of the next car at the light, so honking is a must to just make the light.
This far back stopping is my new traffic pet peeve, it drives me nuts and I may start honking at people while the light is red, just for this

I live on Brightside and the way people drive over the big railroad hump kills me. Yes, it's big. Yes, you shouldn't gun through it.
But NO.. you don't have to come to a complete stop and let your car glide over it with no gas.

I don't go that far but I do give myself a decent cushion because of the number of uninsured motorists. I'll be damned if you frick up my car and push me into somebody else so that I'm left with no vehicle and paying for someone elses damage.

I hate when people blow at me at a right turn on red stop. I will go when I feel it's freaking safe enough for me to go. Just because you need to be somewhere and don't mind pulling out at 25mph in front of oncoming people doesn't mean I do.

You'll have to go around me because I ain't moving you blow the horn like that. I stop at a safe distance behind people because if some idiot comes plowing in the back of me it won't ram me into the car in front and now I have two things to fix
