Bobby Burton. Not Burton Burns.

And their logic is fricking terrible.

I think people forget this isn't about LSU it's about what's best for Nick. LSU understands that they are so heavily invested in Fournette that he's there man for 3 years regardless! Any other running back that gets caught up in those 3 years are just collateral damage.... That's his or any other backs reality for 3 years!

So it's better for him to be a part of a 4 running back class 7 hours away from home?

What in the last 9 years has shown you that Miles will ride with only 1 RB? Jeremy Hill was the best RB he's had, and he was in a 4 horse committe

For the record, if you talk to Davon and get a true answer he will tell you he tried to silently committ to Florida and they wouldn't accept unless he went public. How do I know? I was there with Muschamp and Derek Lewis when he called. The plan was he and Willis. But I know you believe your real insiders!!!

If it were my child, I would be confident enough in his ability to know that he's going to get his carries regardless of what questions people ask at media days.

He's not my child and I'm that confident in his abilities.

Apparently you aren't.

If anyone thinks that Fournette's not getting 25 carries a game then they are crazy.

LSU runs a system where they can have multiple RBs who seem like the ones carrying the load in games. I sure hope Nick realizes this. Just because you're not penciled in as the #1 doesn't mean you'll lack touches compared to a #1. LSU is one of the few systems where you could see 40+ carries between 2-3 RBs in a game depending on what's going on(obviously).

It shouldn't be seen as a negative to play behind Fournette because Nick is going to get him some too. You might even see a system where they line 2 RBs up and it could actually improve the performance of a guy like Nick because defenses are keyed in on a guy like Fournette. Not everything has to be negative just because you're not the #1. LSU puts you in the NFL even when you don't exactly have the most stellar college career and that's saying a lot.

Nick should also realize that the NFL doesn't look at RBs in the same way they use to 15 years ago. They're a dime a dozen and if you don't have durability coming into the NFL you're going to drop severely. Most systems run 2-3 backs in the NFL. Do you want to be driven in the ground like Saban does to his RBs and they have very little gas left in the tank going into the NFL?

If Fournette gets 25 carries a game that means we're running 60 times a game.

I agree Deuce. So where are the carries for Williams and Guice? Also the catches for Dupree and the other receivers? There's only one football.

non-starting RB's (no such thing as a "back up RB" at LSU) and back-up WRs at LSU get drafted.
