which two? Happy Gilmore and Big Daddy?

Adam Sandler in Reign Over Me is my choice for most underrated performance I have ever seen. Crazy how bad he can be in some movies because he turns it on in that one.

Susan Sarandon is 68
Melissa McCarthy is 44

So there is 24 years difference between them but Susan Sarandon is supposed to be her grandmother

???

I don't see how one could call that performance laughable. To each their own

She said on stern that she spent five years trying to get this movie made

This was supposed to be her husband's big directing break

I posted this in another thread about this movie. It may honestly be the worst film I have ever seen. I have seen plenty of movies, but this thing honestly didn't have one redeeming quality.

Yes. And THAT is saying something.

Back at the condo now and just read most of the comments. Most of you hit the nail on the head. It was a "Haha, I'm a funny lude and crude fat woman. I LIKE CHEETOS!!!! Oh did I mention I'm stupid? Who is Mark Twain???? Neil Armstrong rode his bike on the moon!!!!" movie

It was a new level of bad. I can't even describe what I saw.

ETA: Just saw it has a 4.7 on IMDB and that's even way too high. I was expecting to see it around 3.0

I've never heard awkward silence in a movie theatre before. The part where she was walking in to rob the burger place and she's doing all the dancing crap. When that was on you could tell they intended on that to be funny but literally nobody laughed in the theatre. There were a lot of moments like that.

No it literally might have been the worst movie I've ever paid to see

The
Last
Airbender

If you paid to see that movie in the theater, like I did when I took my younger brother, you win this thread.

There is no movie I have seen worse than that one and I will not watch it again if I was paid to.

Yes, The Last Airbender is worse that Legion, the last Die Hard movie, and likely worse than Tammy.

And Crystal Skull is a better movie than Last Airbender.

My brother and his wife. My brother thinks Melissa McCarthy is hilarious.

Adam Sandler was actually bearable at one point, she has no redeeming quality what-so-ever

Billy Madison was good so he's ahead of her right there. Rob Schneider is a better comparison…worthless.

She can be if used right. I found her funny in Bridesmaids. She shouldn't be a leading role tho.

She's just become heavily typecast.
She's not in St. Vincent though. Should be a breath of fresh air.

I like terrible movies, but I have now tried to watch it twice and had to turn it off or walk away after about 20 minutes in..

Old thread bump because I turned this garbage off 33 minutes in. It's been a while since I turned a movie off in the middle of it.
