Liberalism is a movement that seeks to pussify men, dickify women, and make life "better" for others with other people's money while keeping your own. It also condones any deviant sexual behavior other than heterosexual sex which it deems gross and disgusting.

Do people like you even realize how much they reveal about themselves with statements like this?

HA HA HA! You wish. I'm going to make you all take unicyles to work. But I get to drive an H3 because I'm a scientist.

quote:You just perfectly described Spidy, Rex and several other libtards on here.
It is a mental disorder when a person blindly follows an idealogy. When you make excuses for or ignore lies or dirty-dealing by your party and think the end justifies the means you need help. If you put party politics before your humanity you need help. When you turn a blind eye to cheating at the polls just being glad that your guy won, honesty be damned you need help.

But amazingly you don't recognize that it also describes some posters here of a conservative bent.

Being liberal makes sense. I'm not anywhere close to being 100% sold on it, but many of the brightest people consider themselves to be liberal.
The Democrat party and some of its policies are a train wreck, though. The party needs to split.

It would be impossible for a stupid person to hold the credentials that I hold.

That's a major difference between the two. The majority of true conservatives will denounce corruption and deciet within our ranks. Liberals, "Oh well, they're one of us so it's okay" is standard practice. Hypocrisy is a hallmark of liberalism.

Case in point, the current wave of iillegal immigrants flooding our border. Libs think we should just embrace these poor unfortunate souls and let them become citizens. In reality, these people will bring crime, disease and will overload our schools and welfare system. If you don't think that 90% of these people will be on welfare for many years then you're living in fantasy land.

Straight from the horses mouth and bringing the 10lb sledgehammer.
How far left was I? So far left my beloved uncle was a card-carrying member of the Communist Party in a Communist country. When I returned to his Slovak village to buy him a mass card, the priest refused to sell me one. So far left that a self-identified terrorist proposed marriage to me. So far left I was a two-time Peace Corps volunteer and I have a degree from UC Berkeley. So far left that my Teamster mother used to tell anyone who would listen that she voted for Gus Hall, Communist Party chairman, for president. I wore a button saying "Eat the Rich." To me it wasn't a metaphor.
I voted Republican in the last presidential election.
Below are the top ten reasons I am no longer a leftist. This is not a rigorous comparison of theories. This list is idiosyncratic, impressionistic, and intuitive. It's an accounting of the milestones on my herky-jerky journey.
10) Huffiness.
In the late 1990s I was reading Anatomy of the Spirit, a then recent bestseller by Caroline Myss.
Myss described having lunch with a woman named Mary. A man approached Mary and asked her if she were free to do a favor for him on June 8th. No, Mary replied, I absolutely cannot do anything on June 8th because June 8th is my incest survivors' meeting and we never let each other down! They have suffered so much already! I would never betray incest survivors!
Myss was flabbergasted. Mary could have simply said "Yes" or "No."(continued)

Its not at all like Confirmation. Its more like cutting off part of someone's penis - which is something most Catholics in the U.S. do to their little boys - even though their religion doesn't even strictly require it.

I don't really care about alot of the social issues that come up such as gay marriage and the immigration crap,
Immigration is not a "social" issue. The illegal and legal immigrants lower real wages. Allowing a bunch of illegals to vote also affects how our country is governed.

It is certainly an economic issue, but it is also certainly a social one, insofar as the racial element significantly steers many peoples' opinions

It is objectively bad to allow our border to be overrun with people who are not citizens. The race issue is used because supporters of illegal immigration cannot make a good argument for allowing it.
