We used to eat there all the time when I was young. I know it's shut down sense. What was it like? I just remember the inside but not the food or how you're fed/staffing.

Also, is the Pofolks produce on the side of the highway between I10 and Lobdell on the west side if the river at all related?

There was one in Clinton , Ms. the year I did penance at Miss College before getting privileges back at Moo State. They shut down for a reason.

I barely remember it but do remember one time my mom telling the cashier my age and me saying, "No I'm not, mom, I'm x(whatever age I was at the time)!"

The only Pofolks I've ever seen is the one in Niceville on the way to Destin. I've never eaten there.

There are still some "Folks" (they changed the name to be PC) in GA. Haven't been in forever but I remember growing up I loved the country fried steak.

Yeah, I remember it well. I hated it. Not because the food was bad, but because my grandparents always wanted to eat there and it was the same stuff that I grew up eating. Think of a smaller version of Cracker Barrel.

The thing I remember most was when this guy went nuts at the old Ellis Ave location in Jackson. Much more memorable than the food.

No wonder why they closed down. They couldn't taste or smell what they were cooking!!

There was one in Bossier City in the early 80's. Only thing that I remember was drinking out of Mason Jars.

There was one on college where service merchandise was. And alfalfa video. Man.... I miss old baton rouge.

Pofolks is my first memory of eating out with the family. Will never forget the mason jars

I'm not positive, but for some reason I connect this chain with a country music singer. We ate in one in Jackson, TN, once, and the food was dreadful.
