I'm going to throw my line up in. Most of this is probably personal (which is nearly impossible when making list like this).

-----------Henry--Messi
----Giggs---------------Ronaldo
----------Scholes--Zidane
Roberto Carlos-------Zambrotta
-------Maldini----Stam
--------------Khan

Putting Scholes in was almost as tough as leaving him out. Honorable mentions go to: Pirlo, Makelele, Davids, Veira, Lampard, and Xavi.

I picked Giggs, but Ronaldihno, Nedved, or Robben

As much as I do love me some Vidic. I think Ferdinand and Vidic made the best CB partnership in the premiership history, but I don't think individually they were the best.

I'd even argue that Neuer could make a case.

For those of you that are new to soccer you missed out on a legend. Paul Scholes was one of the best of all time.

Only one Paul Scholes

Xavi

"In the last 15 to 20 years the best central midfielder that I have seen - the most complete - is Scholes. I have spoken with Xabi Alonso about this many times. Scholes is a spectacular player who has everything. He can play the final pass, he can score, he is strong, he never gets knocked off the ball and he doesn't give possession away. If he had been Spanish then maybe he would have been valued more."

Ronaldinho

For him, it depends on if you're choosing players based on their entire career or their best. I would make a similar argument for Iker Casillas, and probably some other guys as well.

damn, maldini must have been a freak because I thought Roberto Carlos was supposed to be the best LB.

As a pure defender, no way he was better than Maldini, in my opinion.

Roberto Carlos was great, but his reputation was also helped by his speed and shot power.

If you're talking about the Brazilian, he has to be at the top. If you're talking about Cristiano, make room for the Brazilian.

Yea, I was torn between Henry and Fat Ronaldo.
Can't go wrong with any one of them.

Forwards: Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo again, Fat Ronaldo, and Batistuta. Second tier would be Totti, van Nistlerooy, Vieri, Kluivert, Bergkamp, Crespo for his fantastic club career, I suppose
