Why are American Jews liberal when that political philosophy is anti-Israel?

How can they call themselves Jews when they support policies that sympathize with radical Palestinians and criticize Israeli Jews as racist war criminals?

The two don't actually have much to do with one another.

More so that you're admitting

I asked a jewish person that question not too long ago. His explanation was that Jews are eternally grateful for being allowed to flee Europe during and after WWII and they credit the Democrats for that.
I have no clue if that it historically accurate but, it was his straight up answer.

The same way Rappers can call themselves democrats while calling republicans having a war on women

What? Most American Jews are solidly socially and fiscally liberal.
That has little to do with their support for a Jewish state--though that state is socially more liberal than would be a Muslim Palestinian state. And it's fiscally fairly welfarish...

Mostly because they identify with minorities.

Jews are only liberal in their host nations throughout the diaspora. It's a comparative advantage strategy at behest of the host nation and culture, whilst allowing a cover for their ethno-religious apartheid nationalism and atrocities in their homeland.
American Jews becoming rightwingers in large quantities in the USA would create a hostile environment for them and put them on the extreme fringe due to their right wing foreign policy stance regarding Israel. It's a lot like National Socialism, really. German-Americans were always supporting left policies regarding civil rights and were always pro- labor union in their settlements throughout the Midwest, whilst simultaneously supporting the National Socialist cause and its policies for the Fatherland with their bunds.
Jews have to maintain the middleman status strategy in order to survive, and at the same time avoid acculturation, which in turn intentionally irritates the host nation and its peoples within the Jewish diaspora lands.
This likely explains why they are often viewed as difficult and untrustworthy, and therefore creating their own persecutions which enables them to maintain sort of a victim status to cover the atrocities of their homeland and those they have took part in throughout their history.

Blacks, Jews, Mexicans, women, and everyone else's motivations are easy to decipher.
Southerners of a certain extraction tend to be more complex somehow.

No, we don't.
This thread makes my head hurt.

No we don't. But do understand the logic via Sara Silverman and a few others who are so over the top liberal. Truth is I have no idea why as much as I don't know why a Catholic like Ted Kennedy supports abortion rights against church doctrine.

There are a good number of Jews I know who are liberal and just ignore the democratic parties anti-Israel leaning leader.
I remember seeing a sticker for Obama in 2008 in Hebrew and wanted to throw up.
