Blind ideology?

When you figure that one out let me know.

Then figure out how the face of the Democrat party is someone they would have hanged a little over 50 years ago.

Up is in fact down.

How is the OP racist?

You've asked a question that could extract more than one view. And one of them might contradict the Liberal boxed view.
Which was sure to draw an accusation of racism.
The answer to all opposing Liberal views.

We are, to a great degree as you can't blanket everyone, economic and social liberals but pro Israel. You don't need to be tied 100% to any political line in America.

There are conservative Jewish people and leftists also. But the great majority of us progressive on social issues and we have seen our share of prejudice. and yes we stand up for our brothers and sisters in Israel but we do disagree on some topics.

Are Americans of English, Irish, German, and French heritage expected to fall in line with whichever party favors those respective countries?

they are socially liberal

they identify as DEM b/c they fall into the "single issue voter" base of the DEMs

i'd imagine they would be more fiscally conservative if there was another geographic location in the developed world that offered both the social values they believe in as well as a less robust socialist state, but that isn't an option. jews are pragmatists and know that with their culture, odds are they will be fine financially. now socially? different animal

the whole israel stuff is just kind of viewed as an outlier/emotional exception by most DEMs, but it is funny to think about in grand terms and teh conflicts in ideologies

I do not, not anyone in my family or my children showing leanings of such.

you're an outlier. 69% of the jewish vote went for Obama over Romney. 78% Obama over McCain. 76% Kerry. 79% Gore. the jewish population of America is highly slanted towards the DEMs, regardless of you and your family

That don't make no sense

how not? financially, their culture results in more success. if they want to go to a developed country, they will pay more in taxes and have less freedom. so the economic option is not really an option in terms of advantage, which furthers their association with the social side of the political spectrum

That is a question that I asked my wife who is a Christian and strongly supports Israel. Why should hard working Christians conservative support Israel when rich Jews support a political party that ignores Israel.

Likely a similar analogy with religious blacks in the Bible Belt voting as lock-step Democrats while Dems support gay rights, abortion and other policies that conflict with religious beliefs.

[quote...]they credit the Democrats for that. I have no clue if that it historically accurate but, it was his straight up answer.[/quote]

Only registered Democrats were allowed to serve in the European Theatre.

Republicans were at home passing laws to keep the black man and other minorities down.

First off, yall are all wrong and NoNameNeeded just quit spewing your Jew-hate.

Most Jews are socially liberal, but economically conservative. The problem being that the voice of "American Jews" that you hear in this country comes from NY.

A good chunk of my family is jewish, they are all democrats and slobber all over isreal.

Most dem pols are crazy pro-isreal. Obama is the exception, and he is just slightly more balanced on it than being anti-isreal.

of course, many isrealis feel if you aren't a zionist, you hate isreal, and hate jews.

There's an old saying, "Jews live like WASPS, but vote like Puerto Ricans."

As a group, Jews are probably the smartest people on the planet. But when it comes to American politics, they are brain-dead. Why in the world would 70% of them vote for a bozo like Obama, who is arguably the most anti-Israel Potus we've had in the past 50 years?

I'm one-eighth Jewish by ancestry, and very much pro-Israel, but the truth is what it is. Most Jews vote against their own self-interests more often than not.

Because they don't live in Israel?
