I was in L.A. for our annual draft day boil. We went there because some buds had moved there. fricking blast.

The patio at cats. I was in the quarter all day with my mom and bro scoping out spots. They were at one of the bars on a side street and I was walking on Bourbon. I notice cats wasnt very crowded yet(it was still very early) and the courtyard was totally empty. There is a single bar there with a big flat screen behind it. I pulled up 4 bar stools and told them to come meet me. It winded up being packed but it was like we had our own bartender since we were up front. Shots flew and I ran out on Bourbon. It was nuts.

Seems like some of you seem to forget that it was announced the night before the draft that the Texans reached an agreement with Mario Williams.

I missed the first quarter while making a popeye's run to the one that was on florida downtown. I watched the rest of the game with a bunch of guys in the engineering dorm downstairs in the tv room. After the game was over, my roommate and i rode around in his shaguar while i played when the saints go marching in on my trumpet

Sitting in my parents' living room watch my father, for the first time, start to believe that the saints could really do it, that they really could be superbowl champs. He had never been that hopeful about the saints in my lifetime. The last time i'd seen that look was when LSU beat Georgia in the 2003 SEC Championship Game.

Sean Payton's Hiring: Living in Shreveport after being displaced by Katrina. Was skeptical of the hire.

Drew Brees Signs: Shreveport, still. Loved the signing as long as he was healthy.

The Texans Pass on Reggie Bush: Just about to move back home. This may have been the most excited I'd been since before Katrina.

Steve Gleason's Block: In the Dome. Magical

NFC Championship Game: Dome. I was so nervous that whole game that feel like I didn't enjoy it enough

Tracy Porter Pick 6: On my couch, jumping.

Drew Brees signing

I was marching in the St Patricks Irish channel parade when word spread like wild fire through our crew. My buddies and I were happy to have anyone other then brooks or the two billy joes. i never thought he would be this good.

the first 3 were pretty inconsequential to me at the time, so i dont really remember. I mean i can see myself reading the headlines on ESPN.com, but i was nowhere special. Probably on this board arguing about it.

Gleason's block: was in the dome. It was a very emotional game, but overall I think it is an overrated moment in Saints history.

NFC Championship game: in the dome again. Thought for sure we were going to lose it in regulation. I didn't want to watch but for some reason had a gut feeling he'd nail it

Porter pick 6: i was sitting in the opposite endzone from where he ran into, so I saw it all develop and knew before he caught it that he was going to house it. Hands down, bar none, the top moment in saints history

Sean Payton's Hiring & Drew Brees Signs:

these two are a blur. I met my wife during this time, so I was pretty much in crazy land.

The Texans Pass on Reggie Bush:

I was at my wife's (then fiancee) dads house. He didn't have cable, but I was able to pick up the draft over the antennae. I could barely see anything.

Steve Gleason's Block:

Me and my wife were at this recreational place on base. She had never witness me watching a game before. I'm usually a laid back, very mellow person, but I become a completely different person when I'm watching football. She looked scared and confused as I was jumping, yelling and clapping my hands.

I was home for both the NFCCG and the Super Bowl. Right before the Tracy Porter's int in the NFCCG, I was down on my knees saying "Not like this" over and over again. After the pick 6 in the Super Bowl, I just went around screaming in my house while my 1 year old followed me around yelling as well.

In a bar in DC. Hugged a random girl I'd never met. She turned out to be from Metairie, so she didn't mind. Also, during the previous commercial break, the DC CBS affiliate announced that the Government was shut down the next day due to a huge blizzard. This meant my work would be shut down too. Allowed me to drink way more than I should have in celebration. Best hangover of all time.
