Demps and Williams have single handidly put this organization in neutral. Gordon contract, Holiday trade and bad draft choices have this organization in catch-up mode. We will always be in catch-up mode until the reigns are taken away from these clowns. There should be more outrage than there is for this duo. This city is not paying attention enough to cause a change. If this were the Saints, the fans would be in complete disgust. The trade for Asik did not need to happen if we would have simply stuck with Noels. Holiday trade may be incomplete but I believe it will be a failure and a trade that did not need to happen. Fans should be concerned when AD contract is up. We have a talent like this and a regime that has no clue on what to surround him with. Its in complete flux. What is our core? I would much rather have Nerlin, AD and Payton as the core than what we have now. I will prob get flamed for the post....but its time New Orleans to end this charade of a regime.

So in super hindsight, we should have let Gordon walk...right? and pretty much get absolutely NOTHING for CP3

Noel has played 0 minutes, Payton has played 0 minutes. Noel may end up being sent to the bench once Embiid comes back from injury as well. Payton may or may not even develop into a starting caliber PG. Hell, we may not even drafted both!

Austin Rivers was a fancy pick, but the only other productive player we probably could have gotten was Jeremy Lamb.

Asik is known as a premier defensive Center, something we desperately need. Oh wait, you say Noel is the answer? Remember the franchise guy AD? Oh yeah, he got abused this past year by opposing centers. But wait! Noel is a center...but he's smaller and has a smaller frame than AD so he can't even put on as much muscle/weight as AD. See the connection?

Holiday got injured, shite happens, you can't predict that considering he rarely missed games.

As for AD leaving, he's here til 2019.

Noel, AD, and Payton as a core, 2 of which have not played a single minute in the NBA and 2 of which could end up being busts, which YOU so kindly point out "bad draft choices".

Or you could get TWO already productive above average starters at the PG/C on your team. Oh wait, we already have that for this year.

Stick to LSU Football, please.

Why? You provided no evidence to back up as to why this is better than what we currently have.

If you want to be taken seriously actually try to back up your claims rather than just saying that Dell made bad moves and we'd be better off with someone that hasn't played an NBA game yet.

OP needs to go away and never come back. Your "take" on the Pels is misguided and unintelligent. You have about as much idea of what's going on with the Pelicans as anyone who read this meaningless thread has about what's going on in your peanut sized brain. I bet you thought we had a shot at LeBron, Melo, Bosh, and Love too...GTFO & NEVER COME BACK.

Wow, you use selective memory, forgetfulness and the fact that no human has 20/20 hindsight -- to construct a heck of an argument. First, the original deal involving CP3 was done by the commissioner not our guys. Neol has never played a game. At the time we were concerned, but the potential greatness of Gordon was held by many (especially Pheniox). Without stating the endless evidence, the injury level the Pelicans have sustained is a "Super Anomoly". Assuming we are healthier next session and with a true big man on the team, I wonder if CP3 wish he had the opportunity, would come back and play with AD and the crew. The Clippers sure are in neutral.

Where's the outrage???

How about the people that aren't renewing their season tickets or going to games for $3 on stubhub. I'm avoiding them this year for sure. They've frickED us and guaranteed us losing AD23 in 2/3 years to free agency unless he just wants to stay here and be a Patrick Ewing of a non-playoff franchise.

3 things we aren't solving:
Africa
Africa
Pelicans

you do realize that

Gordon contract,

would still be on the books, right?

ironically, if dell hadn't acquired so much talent so well the past couple years, we wouldn't care about gordon

Holiday+Asik, I'll take that over Noel+Payton

So you're saying, in general, that we would be better off with Noel+Payton in place of Holiday/Asik/Gordon? Not sure how you arrive at that conclusion.
