I paid 24 for it and have gotten well over 60 worth of fun.

I will admit I did a couple of the contracts and then when I saw the parameters that I needed to do tests in the upcoming ones I decided I would wait til tomorrow
Not sure if I need a piece of paper or if they will have those parameters easily seen on the screen during a flight.
Quick note: landing in the ocean does not preserve your rocket pieces

You can get them to display while you're doing your mission, and each stipulation checks off when completed.
I have already found myself reverting flights to get the most out of science and the contract for the cheapest price to make the most money. I did the entire first contract and realized I could do it with way less fuel and one less stage/rocket. So I reverted back. I am a cheapskate.

haha awesome. It will certainly give a bunch of carrots about doing smaller tasks. It was always a bit overwhelming to take the leap from making it to orbit to being able to land on another planet and come home. This gives me little goals to aim for.

Kerbals be pissin a flyAU off.
I have had repeated crashes (not rockets). I can work on a rocket for 15 minutes and have the program close on itself. Sucks...
I would kick a kerban if i could.

The new value mechanic boosting a KSC landing....
Damn.
I wouldn't know where to begin to specifically land there.

Yeah i probably should do that. Also need to go and clean out all the add on's that I had downloaded way back. It takes about 4 minutes to load the game right now.

Just go straight up and come straight down?
I am realizing maybe the most important first branch on the tech tree is that second parachute...rockets explode on landing even with lightest weight craft.

This may be a dumb question but can you have chutes on separated parts/boosters etc? if you can do you get salvaged credit for that?

As of now, no, and I don't know if there any plans to implement.
You have to land in 1 piece to get credit.

Thanks. Good to know. Would certainly be authentic.

The problem is how the game handles "debris" that is more than 2km away.

Little Rodman Kerman, with next to no courage and a bountiful surplus of stupidity, is my first Kerban to go to the moon and live to tell the tale. Rocketing back into the atmosphere at almost 4,000m/s!
