Seriously, outside of the finals no one gives a shite about basketball.
Yea, the NBA free agent thread is only 379 pages...an offseason thread.

That doesn't even count all the other FA threads that have been started.

It's the old "I don't care about something therefore no one cares about it" attitude.

Take a look at the first page of the MSB. Look at how many NBA threads and posts there are.

And it's the off season.

Not exactly true, but the idea that the NBA is driving year round sports is hilarious. It's not in the same hemisphere as the NFL in that regard.
It doesn't have to be in the same hemisphere as the NFL to be year round, it is absolutely a year round deal.

Yep. The NBA has a ton of good momentum right now.

Hopefully this FIBA tournament gets some good coverage. KD will help.

Baseball is pretty much year round anyway. Takes up April-October.

Kids today do not have the attention span to enjoy the game of baseball. Unlike football and basketball, you can't just go pick up a ball and play baseball. It requires that you learn how to field a ball, hit a ball, etc. Kids used to spend hours playing baseball.

Now kids spend hours playing XBox. Playing sports they don't really have to learn how to play. Football and Basketball are also popular because there is almost constant action on the field/court. Kids today can not appreciate the art of pitchers duel in baseball. It gets looked at as boring. Small ball is boring to today's generation.

Another factor I believe is, when I was growing up we didn't have video games. One of our biggest hobbies was collecting baseball cards. Our town had 3 or 4 "card shops" and the corner 7-11 had stacks of wax packs. Now days, your lucky to find these in the convenience stores because kids have no interest in them because of the xbox controller stuck in their hands.
