200k.
Lemme see a pic of your wife and I'll be the judge of whether or not you're actually making $200,000 per year.

Ha. She hot. IRL 9. OT 6.23 because 3 kids and OT has the ghey. Looks like an older version of the frozen chick (Elsa).

I believe none of this.

Yep, I'm sure I could improve my LSAT considerably (156 after a week's worth of studying), but I only had a 3.0 in Construction Management in undergrad.
Get in the mid-160s and you'll be golden.

200K a year, IRL 9 wife, so busy he's turning away cases left and right. Not to mention the 800 count sheets. Just your average SULC grad.

*SNORT!*
Whew! That's some good shite. Eh, practicing law isn't that bad.
Btw, how do you clean a diamond encrusted coffee table? Oh, and how much is it to rent a killer whale exhibit for a day? My son's birthday is coming up.

I graduated from Southern, may have been on the cusp of top 1/3 of class(maybe not), and I am currently making bank (by Louisiana standards). Graduated more than 5 years ago but less than 10. A common issue that I see regularly is people with good cases and money to spend that can't find an attorney to accept the case. My experience in this field has not been all doom and gloom
Gotta love those Southern plaintiffs attorneys.

Federal is 60k first teir. It goes up each year you are a clerk. I don't think district vs appellate matters.
I'm not sure about state.

From what I am told state is lower. I talked to a Circuit level clerk a couple months ago, and he was paid under $50K. JDC I imagine is even less than that.

It's definitely lower, I just don't know how much. I'm guessing anywhere from 35-50 depending on where you are working.
If you have a job lined up, state probably isn't worth it. Federal is a completely different story.

I don't think anyone has been denied permission to work a campus part time job.
Is this only for campus jobs? LSU will tell you that you can't be a waiter or bartender during 1L year? There were plenty of 1L's who had jobs at Ole Miss and UF law schools when I was in school

I don't know about that. I'm just know about my experience and a few others who had jobs at the library and such. I'm sure there have been people to work at outside jobs their first year. How would the school really even know?

Med Schools aren't smarter or more benevolent than Law Schools, they are just WAYYYYY more expensive to run
Plus they produce graduates that are actually in demand, unlike law schools.

So, I can enroll at Southern now and in 3 years, I'll be making 200k? I made 165 in 2006 but went to engineering grad school instead.
I screwed up, I guess.

What do established lawyers generally make?
250 - 350 K sound pretty accurate?
