If the Pelicans stay healthy, and Monty uses our talent well we will be a playoff team. AD will challenge Howard as the best player in the division.

I'll go on record and say he already is the best player in the division.

Crazy to think about when the Finals MVP and a ton of future HOF's are in the division

PF's in the southwest: Dirk, Duncan, Zbo, and AD

I always try to be objective. Am I an optimist, for sure...but sorry, I think it's stupid to think Houston and Memphis aren't playoff teams at this point. I get that the West is stacked, but they are still two of the best teams in the conference.

8th seed if the whole team doesn't get hurt again.

It really is stupid. You think a team with Dwight and Harden is going to miss the playoffs? I know you don't like Houston and all, but that's not going to happen. I've already posted how this talk of regressing is played out. Asik missed most of last year and didn't get big minutes until the playoffs. All of a sudden we're going to fall off?

I never said anything about missing the playoffs. You can still regress and make the playoffs.

Barring any other moves, HOU and MEM aren't matching their win totals from last season imo

OK, I thought you were defending the guy that said he could see Houston and Memphis not making the playoffs.

Memphis played most of their season without Gasol. They were damn strong when he came back. I have a hard time thinking they won't be good next year.

You do realize how many injuries the Grizzlies sustained last season and what their record looked like when they had at least Gasol and Conley in the lineup right?

At this point, I could see GSW being the odd team out. Pels and Suns compete for 8th spot

Not most, but yeah. They will still be good.

But the two bottom teams in that division got stronger. Dallas is probably the 2nd best team now after SAS. The Pels improved and will give everyone hell. It's going to be a dogfight and no team outside of the Spurs may finish with 50+ wins.

Oh and Portland is going to fall back too. Probably going to be closer to 6-7 seed this year

We arguably have the most talented guards in the division.

We obviously are weakest at the 3

The whole division is stacked at 4/5 that it's almost pointless arguing who is the best

It will come down to injuries. If Houston loses Howard/Harden for part of the season they're done. I don't think Memphis would make the playoffs if they sustained similar injuries. Same with us. This shite is just way too difficult to predict.

I hope GS trades Klay for anything but Love. I think we could beat them out. I think Phoenix and Portland are passable too.

Yeah but they were top 3 for most of the year IIRC. I don't really think they'll be close to the top 3 this year.

How are the Grixx going to drop off exactly? If anything they will be just as good or better than last year.
