Then we should get the back line we have been anticipating. Moreno, Sakho, Lovren, Manquillo.

Balotelli debut and a back line of Manquillo, Moreno, Lovren and Sakho.

Should be an interesting morning.

This defense is so unorganized. I get they've never played together, but frick why is Lovren 3 yards higher than Sakho?

I brought this up in the match day thread as well. Is it Skrtel being out? Not having that cover for Lovren. Lovren likes to forage a bit.

Is there a limit on how good Sterling can be? He's 19 years old, and his ability is simply incredible! Love watching him play.

I've said it before, can we please just have some kind of continuity and go with the same backline for consecutive games? Clean sheet was huge for confidence, but still had plenty of derp moments.

And Sterling's such a beast, but lol at that shot after running around the backline

yep, I love it...

I was reading some Spurs fans suggesting they may wipe the floor with us... so, that was satisfying..

I keep watching that video of Moreno's goal... Man, that was ruthless... We haven't had a fullback get forward with intent like that on a long time... He is going to fit in with this squad just fine...

How long is Skrtel out? I know Lovren is used to playing LCB... I'm hoping his partnership with Sakho will get better with a decent run of games... getting a better understanding of each other and Lovren acclimating to the right side..

I'm happy with the 2 FBs... I'm sure Flanno will see some time ar RB when healthy again..

Hopefully, we see Lallana next week and that says a lot for our depth when Coutinho doesn't even see the pitch on the road to a top 4 contender..

3 weeks into the season and have already played @Man City and @Spurs, and we have 6 points.

Remy has signed for Chelsea... In the end, I'm happy with Mario, but would have still liked Remy too... I guess we'll really never know why, specifically, that deal collapsed...

Oh well, 6 points indeed!

Give it time. We just brought in 3 new faces, and it just takes time to get on the same page. Besides, last week we had Johnson and Skrtel who were both unavailable this week due to injury.

Oh I understand, and I do like that backline. Just some communication problems where Sakho and Lovren were caught in the same space or going for the same ball. I just want for all our guys to get a steady run of games to work on the communication glitches to solidify our back line.

Beast of a play by Alberto Moreno. Harassment, dispossession, explosion forward, angling, positioning, and perfectly placed shot.

I can´t stop watching it.

That was hell of a play on his part, on both ends... He will hold down that spot for us, for a long time (unless RM come in for him)

To think he only cost £12mm, its a relative bargain, assuming he keeps progressing as expected..

It looks like Coates is off for a season long loan to Sunderland... good move for him and I'm sure he'll like playing under his fellow Uruguayan, Poyet...

Went to the game today and thought I'd share some pics. It was a ton of fun and a great atmosphere until that 3rd goal and after that, the Liverpool supporters took over. Congrats on the win

Also, hopefully these aren't formatted horribly (too big)... doing this all through my phone...
