I doubt Chelsea would sell him to us.

I'd go after Lacazette.

Makes sense. As much as I hate to see him go, I'm sure he doesn't want to stick around to be the 4th central defender. I will wish him well.

Would he be higher than 4th CB at Barca?

I think Agger may see a lot of time at Barca partnering Pique... I think he's better than Mathieu (who is head scratcher of a signing) and Bartra... No offense to Agger, but I still don't see how they haven't just went and got a top tier CB with the money that have at their disposal...

In the Remy fallout, we are being linked with Lavezzi for £18mm... PSG may need to sell to buy to be compliant with FFP.. I like him a lot, but wish he was a couple of years younger for that price (he's 29)... That said, it may be worth the financial outlay on a proven guy like that while we bring Markovic along, but won't be much resale value there... He's a hard worker, fast and creative... only down side is he doesn't give you a lot of goals..

Anyone own any of these LFC shirts? If so, do you know how true to size they run?

Yeah £18m seems steep for a player who is 29. Seems to go against Brendan's system of buying young. Did Lavezzi even play much for Argentina in the WC?

he played and did fine... I remember the pundits being shocked when Sabella brought in Aguero for him in the semis *I think*

edit: he still plays at a high level, but I don't know for how much longer... 2-3 years?

I guess the other option right now (Lacazette, Lavezzi) is Jay Rodriguez, who was really having a great season up until his knee surgery...

Raiding the Saints is almost becoming comical at this point, if not sad... I wouldn't want to sign him this summer, but I guess if he comes back in ~ October and plays well, January is an option... THFC may opt for him this summer, which is crazy if you ask me...

i've always thought of him as a shite version of walcott. probably harsh, but he's just fast. no real end product. especially not for a guy as expensive as he's been.

Has anyone seen a running tab of who all South Hampton has sold this summer? I guess this is kind of like the Marlins after the 97 World Series?

I think its a tad bit harsh... He is wasteful in front of goal, but he averages about 10 goals/10 assists for the past 5 years or so... and he works much harder for the team than Walcott IMO (not putting Theo down either, he may be my favorite EPL player outside of LFC)

edit: but yeah, he may be too expensive if you value a forward off of goal ratio, which I can't argue..

Lovren, Lallana and Lambert to LFC
Shaw to United
Chambers to Arsenal

Schneiderlin and Rodriguez possibly to THFC, and of course their manager went there..

yeah. i just haven't been super impressed by him ever. it seems like someone with his rep should do better in ligue 1 than he has. didn't he get benched a bit at the end of the season for PSG?

I think he did when they tried to push Cavani out wide left and Lucas Moura on the right

I have the '78 Home. Peach of a kit. I wear it around sometimes. Runs a little tight. At least mine did.

I got mine here. Very good quality too.

I've been a fan of Lacazette for a while. I remember posting something about him on my FB page last year. I think he would do better in a Rodgers style team. But I'm hoping there is a tiny bit of truth in the Rolls Reus rumors.

hey, thanks!

Lacazette seems to be the most logical choice considering price, age, production and the ability to play across the front line... I'd be happy..

I'd prob drop dead with a Reus signing... it would def make me get over the Sanchez snub..
